Captain Dan StratmanCaptain Dan Stratman is the pilot consultant for Aviation Litigation Consulting. Over 27 years and 12,000 hours of flight time from combined experience as an airline pilot, Air Force pilot, and general aviation pilot insure that the advice you receive is based on real world experience and not just theory.

Dan attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he received a B.S. in Business Administration in 1981. He graduated in the top of his class in Air Force pilot training and went on to be a T-33 Instructor Pilot and C-141 Aircraft Commander. During his time in the Air Force, 1981-1988, Dan was a Distinguished Graduate (C-141 Aircraft Commander School), a maintenance test pilot, and squadron safety officer.

Dan joined Northwest Airlines in 1988 and has held a wide variety of positions. He has wide body, narrow body, high tech "glass cockpit", steam gauge experience as well as international and domestic flying experience. Flying for Northwest Airlines has provided extensive experience in winter flight operations. Positions include: Captain A-320 and DC-9, First Officer DC-10, B-727, DC-9, Flight Engineer DC-10 and B-727. Captain Stratman's ratings include: Airline Transport Pilot, Commercial-airplane, Flight Engineer-turbojet powered. He has type ratings in the A-320, DC-9, and L-300. Dan also has time flying the Lockheed Constellation and the Martin 404.

For over 11 years Dan has been the Air Line Pilots Associations Airport Liaison Representative for the Kansas City International airport. Duties as an ALR include identifying airport deficiencies, working with airport management in resolving operational problems and participating in safety, planning and operational meetings held by airport staff. He is also a member of the Aviation Committee for the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. This committee is involved in shaping and guiding aviation issues in Kansas City that are important to the business community. In addition, Dan is member of the Mid-America Regional Council Aviation Advisory Committee.

Captain Stratman's general aviation qualifications include time in a multitude of single engine and multi-engine aircraft. He is also a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Resume
